When spring blooms are on display and our gardens are flourishing do you ever find yourself admiring the honeybees, bumblebees and butterflies as they fly from flower to flower? You’re not alone! Our pollinators are mesmerizing to watch and they’re also critical to our environment. One third of the world’s crops require pollination relying on the help of these amazing little creatures.

Honeybees are among the most effective and prolific pollinators. Not only do they work tirelessly pollinating, they also live in a fascinating community in the honeybee colony AND they make honey! While our pollinators are facing challenges with pesticides and colony collapse, there are things each and every one of us can do to help support our all pollinators and our environment.

Join Alison Galati on January 24th at 7pm at the Rowley Library to learn about the importance of honeybees in pollination, how honeybees work in the colony, and simple steps we can make to support all of our pollinators.

Win a free raspberry bush – grow your own berries and support your local bees! A local bee supporter has donated 5 bushes to be raffled off at our event. The plants will be available for pickup in the spring- she’s even offered to help plant them!
