Teen Summer Reading 2017

                     SUMMER 2017

Welcome to Teen Summer Reading at the Rowley Public Library.  You can register now online.  The program runs through August 10.  This year you can log all of your reading minutes online making it easier for you when you are on the go and you can still participate and earn prizes.  Every 300 minutes (5 hours) you read, receive a prize and a ticket to a grand prize drawing.  The goal is to read up to 1500 minutes (25 hours) this summer.  You can continue to earn grand prize tickets for every two hours you read beyond 25 hours.  The more tickets you earn, the better your chance at winning the GRAND PRIZE!

Other ways to earn tickets include attending library programs, joining the teen advisory, visiting the library and checking out books.  You may read any books you choose and you may use assigned summer reading if you would like though we encourage you to read for enjoyment. You may read in any format: book, e-book, audio book, magazine.

Check out our display of staff picks in the teen area for books related to the “Build a Better World” theme.

This program is for those entering 6th through 12th grades.  Those entering grades K – 5 should sign up for the Children’s program and infants through pre-k should sign up for the “1000 Books Before Kindergarten” program.
