Join us to see “To Kill a Mockingbird”, a movie based on Harper Lee’s classic novel, on Monday, September 17 at 1pm. Gregory Peck won a Best Actor Oscar for his role as Atticus Finch, the widowed lawyer who agrees to defend a young black man accused of raping a white woman in 1930s Alabama, teaching his children valuable lessons about prejudice and empathy.
Our “Movies from Banned Books” series will show a new movie every Monday in September based on books that have been banned or challenged. Movies will be playing every Monday at 1pm and will include “The Glass Castle” on September 10, “To Kill a Mockingbird” on September 17, and “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” on September 24.
