Join us to see “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest,” a movie based on Ken Kesey’s bestselling novel, on Monday, September 24 at 1pm.  This R-rated film won five Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Actor in a Leading Role (Jack Nicholson), Best Actress in a Leading Role (Louise Fletcher), and Best Director.  McMurphy, a free-spirited mental ward inmate, rebels against the repressive Nurse Ratched, and charms his fellow inmates into joining him.

Our “Movies from Banned Books” series will show a new movie every Monday in September based on books that have been banned or challenged. Movies will be playing every Monday at 1pm and will include “The Glass Castle” on September 10, “To Kill a Mockingbird” on September 17, and “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” on September 24.
