The Friends are focused on planning the 2017 Chili-Cookoff !
The 13th Bi-Annual Friends of the Rowley Library Chili Cookoff is in the planning stages. Please come join us on August 16th at 7 pm in the Rowley Library if you want to help us plan this awesome community event, to be held outdoors for the 2nd time on September 30 on Rowley’s historic Town Common.
This popular community event will feature a judged chili competition with all the fixings, live music, a German-style beer and wine garden, raffles, games and activities for the kids. All proceeds benefit the Rowley Public Library.
Sponsorships are available at the Habanero ($2,000), Serrano ($500) and Jalapeño ($250) levels. Interested organizations should contact Sieglinde Aigner-Crooks at 978-412-6202 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
The “Chili Cookoff on the Common” also needs cooks. All amateur and professional chili cooks are invited to participate, either as contestants or individual contributors. Categories include Red Chili, Green Chili, Vegetarian and People’s Choice. Notably, Rowley’s contest rules allow recipes to include beans, in strict defiance of International Chili Society regulations. Cooks interested in entering should email email@example.com for more information and registration forms.
